This Giving Tuesday 2026, join us in lifting up CSU students and strengthening the programs that help them thrive. Your generosity fuels scholarships, essential resources and high-impact initiatives that open doors for Vikings of every background. Whether you give to one of our featured priorities or an area that matters most to you, your support creates real and immediate impact.

Although we encourage all CSU supporters to give to an area that is most meaningful to them, we are highlighting four specific initiatives this Giving Tuesday...

  1. Lift Up Vikes! Resource Center and Food Pantry - Feeding minds and nourishing futures. Over the past year alone, we've provided essential resources to an incredible 15,047 people, making a difference in their education and well-being. Please help us to ensure that no student goes hungry.
  2. Viking Safety Escort (Safe Ride) - CSU’s Viking Safety Escort program provides 24/7 transportation assistance to students, faculty and staff traveling across campus and to nearby housing. But right now, not every Viking can access this vital service. Without a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, our Safety Escort program is unable to accommodate individuals who rely on wheelchairs for mobility. A gift today will help CSU purchase a wheelchair-accessible van, allowing our Campus Safety Ambassadors to extend this essential service to those who currently cannot use it.
  3. The Fostering The Future Scholarship - Fostering the Future, a Be Best initiative, secures educational opportunities and scholarships for children in the foster care community. Scholarship recipients will learn in a supportive environment, gaining knowledge critical to realizing job security within the technology sector. By providing access to a computer science education, these individuals will be prepared to enter the workforce and ultimately reach financial independence.  
  4. Cleveland State University Annual Fund - The easiest way to make a difference in the lives of current students. From financial aid to classroom equipment to student life, all areas of the University depend upon the regular replenishing of funds that happens through this resource.

Lift Up Vikes! Offers convenient, dignified and compassionate process of providing students with necessities. Help Us Lift Up Vikes! Join us in supporting the Lift Up Vikes! Resource Center & Food Pantry as we strive to make a significant impact on the lives of our students in 2026. Over the past academic year alone, we've provided essential resources to an incredible 15,047 people, making a difference in their education and well-being. Feeding minds, Nourishing Futures: Our commitment to combating student hunger is reflected in the astounding 135,423 meals provided in 2026. However, the journey does not end here. We need your support to continue this crucial work and address the diverse needs of our student community. Beyond Basics: Hygiene and More: While food sustains the body, hygiene products are essential for maintaining dignity and confidence. Our biggest area of need includes feminine hygiene products and infant care items like baby wipes, pull-ups, and diapers above size 4. Your contribution will help us provide not just sustenance but also essential items that foster a sense of well-being. College Student-Friendly Food Options: College life is demanding, and convenient, nutritious food is key to success. We are seeking your support to enhance our pantry with college student friendly options such as snacks, microwaveable meals, and granola bars. Your contribution will directly impact students' ability to focus on their studies without the worry of an empty stomach. Thanks to our partnership with the Great Cleveland Food Bank, every dollar you donate allows us to purchase 3 meals worth of food for our students. Your generosity multiplies the impact, ensuring that even a small donation goes a long way in alleviating hunger and supporting educational successes. Every Journey Deserves a Safe Ride — Support Viking Safety Escort! Every Journey Deserves a Safe Ride — Support Viking Safety Escort! Safety and accessibility should never be out of reach. CSU’s Viking Safety Escort program provides 24/7 transportation assistance to students, faculty and staff traveling across campus and to nearby housing. Our dedicated Campus Safety Ambassadors are always ready to help ensure that every Viking feels safe and supported. But right now, not every Viking can access this vital service. Without a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, our Safety Escort program is unable to accommodate individuals who rely on wheelchairs for mobility. This leaves an important segment of our campus community without the same access to safe, reliable transportation. We need your help to change that. Your gift will help CSU purchase a wheelchair-accessible van, allowing our Campus Safety Ambassadors to extend this essential service to those who currently cannot use it. Support scholarships for children in the foster care community! Support scholarships for children in the foster care community! Fostering the Future, a Be Best initiative, secures educational opportunities and scholarships for children in the foster care community. Scholarship recipients will learn in a supportive environment, gaining knowledge critical to realizing job security within the technology sector. By providing access to a computer science education, these individuals will be prepared to enter the workforce and ultimately reach financial independence. Many children in the foster care community lack the support and stability to finish their education and gain meaningful employment. According to the National Foster Youth Institute, only 50 percent of foster children finish high school, and only three percent of former foster children obtain a college degree. Twenty percent of the children in foster care will become homeless after aging out of the system, and only half will have gainful employment by the age of 24.
